The St. Francis path is a journey that many pilgrims undertake to reach Assisi following the steps of the Saint, starting from the north (La Verna) or from the south (Rome). Part of the route goes through the town of Sansepolcro and not far away, immersed in the silence and green of the woods, there is the hermitage of Montecasale, an important place for the Franciscans. The route connects to the Alpe della Luna Nature Reserve, stopping at Sansepolcro and then continuing into Umbria.
